Wiles cooker manual wanted 3 Attachment(s) I know this has been asked before by Jeff from QLD, but does anyone have a wiles cooker Jr manual , logbook or info that may help with the operation of my new acquisition. With the cold weather in Melbourne today I think a hot soup kitchen is on the cards. |

Understanding wife Maybe the understanding wife in your signature understands how to use the cooker and can instruct you accordingly. :yappy: Women tend to know more about these sorts of things than their men. Nice acquisition by the way! Quote:

wiles cooker manual Euan, Is it a goer? I have a copy of the Wiles Cooker Manual that the late VMVC member Ray Davies put together some years ago. You may remember him, he had a full size Wiles cooker WW2 model and used to come to some of the GMRG re-enactment events and cook for us and the public. He did wonderful roasts and devonshire teas. Sadly he died and I don't know what ever happened to his cooker. I think it was the only complete one around, certainly the only one ever operating that I have ever seen. I remember finding a gutted one down in the Otways years ago that had been used as a field hut. It had been burnt out from a bushfire. The tyres had burnt off and it had been left there for some time. I told Ray and he got a set of wheels and recovered it. Don't know what happened to that either. His manual does have some references to the Junior Cooker but I will have to check if it contains a manual. |

I normaly find the simple rule of cooking is.....When it's brown, it's done. When it's black, it's buggered! Ron |

Wiles cooker Hi Euan, I don't have the manual but here is a link to an explaination of the developement of your cooker. Graeme http://www.exploroz.com/Forum/Topic/...hoto___SA.aspx |

Yes Euan. Ian has quite a lot of NOS spares for the Wiles. Mostly four wheel parts but a fair bit is common to both 2 and 4. I know for sure that he had the parts book for the four wheeler. I don't know if it covered the two wheeler as well. I know that Graeme Davies bought parts from him as did a couple of South Australians. David |

Bob Finlay from the SSAA Historical Arms Collectors operated a Wiles at the Brisbane Gunshows for many years. He has manuals for them & spome spare parts, his contact details are via this address http://www.ssaaqld.org.au/HAC.htm |

all fired up! 3 Attachment(s) Last Sunday we cooked a fantastic roast in the wiles, I'm still trying to work out the steam side of the cooker. I figure if I pressure test the system with compressed air it should show up any leaks before I fire the boiler. |
