Reborn of my Chevy G7107
Hello All,
Works on my Chevy G7107 have not progressed significantly since last April but last weekend, I completed the mechanical part and we started the engine. This 261 cid engine (Yes I change the original 235 by this very similar engine but stronger than the previous one) purrs like a cat and exactly 19 months after his final run, my truck rolled again and everything works perfectly. The engine did not yet its muffler but despite this, it really not noisy. In introduction, here is the video of the final run in December 2008. Small anecdote, when I descended the slope, the truck had no brakes and I slowed to a stop by turning off the engine while I was taking down the slope... Not recommended for green drivers. :nono: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30...h_Mvi_3794.jpg Here is the reborn and check the banana (smile) on my face. :yappy: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30...h_MVI_3283.jpg Check the pictures below. I made a total ground up restoration until each screw. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30...9-08-16-04.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30.../PIC_00014.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30...l/IMG_0167.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30...l/IMG_0141.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30...l/IMG_0164.jpg Stay tuned for the next pictures of the sheet metal works on my cab.
