Ottawa Gracies Call
Calling all Rotters, MLUers, Iltis Clubbers, MV nuts and/or groupies of the like. We have not darkened the hallowed halls of Gracies since springtime. Now is the time for all good Rotters to come to Gracies to party. The question is when...
Options in order of occurrence and plausibility: 29 October - a Friday (busy and crowded) 30 October - Saturday (Halloween) 5 November - another Friday - SSDD 12 November - Friday 13 November - Saturday - post Remembrance Day One vote so far for the 13th...Sound off! |

Can't do any Saturday nights ,due to wife's other commitments....... Any Friday night is OK as long as I book a head. 5th Nov is Guy Fox Night and good enough time to book..if I know soon.. But I will go anytime..but will book first. :drunk: |
Both 5 and 13 Nov work for me. The other choices don't.
Cheers, Clive |

I doubt we'd need much gunpowder to blow up the Canadian Parliament buildings if you've followed the news stories about their condition and the scale of the renovations. << and just for the sake of the net-nannies who monitor these things, that was the opinion of a history graduate making allusions to engineering integrity, nothing more >> |

If someone can bring a projector I can do a slide show of vehicles at the Haiti UN mission.
|
Clive...
...make sure you don't bring the slide cassette labelled "Slap and Tickle and my Leather Friends" like last time...
|
I'll try to make the drive up from Cornwall in my M715 if the weather cooperates. Maybe I can convince a friend or two to join me. Look forward to meeting you boys.
Whoops, forget that idea. Just noticed it is on a Friday night at 5pm. If it had been on the Saturday I could have made it but I work til 5 on Fridays and it would probably take me near 2 hrs to get up there! LOL. Have fun. |

Hi Nibs..
Quote:
Rob.. I haven't heard from His Nibs yet..It is about time for him and Jon to come calling..Barry and Mr Lobster Breath haven't pitched in either, and Mark should be due for a fall visit with the in laws..and Stew and Machine Gun Mary haven't been seen in these parts for a while.. It would be nice to see Harry Moon too..He was mumbling about an Ottawa business trip this year but he will advise when he is coming..That will be a shaker.. A barn tour for Harry is a necessity.. The last time Jesse showed up BOOBEE was scrapping with him over the cute waitresses..He was hogging them all. But when I booked the owner said.."Oh...I remember you guys..".So that is good..he was laughing.. We got the place under control.. :kangaroo :drunk: :thup2:  |
Projector, Infantry Anti-Tank
Well, OK, projector powerpoint! I'll bring it and a laptop... got pics from Jamaica but would rather see Clive's slap and tickle show....
Ubique! Mike |

I’ve/we’ve been trying to get back up to Ottawa since we were there last June, but just haven’t been able to. Ironically, I have an appointment on the afternoon of 5 November here in London which should give me some idea of when I can actually come up for a week or so, which hopefully will be before Christmas. Also, Denise and I have to be in Toronto on 6 November, so the answer to your question is No, I will not be able to come up for the evening of 5 November. :( Cheers |
I don't think I will either. Sally's moved back to Gaspe now and the people who own this place want it back for their own use, so I'm in the process of moving me and my cats as well. I just don't think I can make 5 November although I'd love to.

Moving..

That is a MOVING story. Sorry that you can't mke the do but there will be others and depending on the dryness of the air..could be before Christmas..and least a toned down one...say 50-60 Greasy Green ROTters..(Rusty Old Truckers) But I'm sure the airwaves will be full of Pix of Tit-illating young lovely's ..as usual.. Mark will let us know whan he is in the area and I don't know if MACHINE GUN MARY gives Stewie enough rope to hang himself or not.. But we will be in touch. |
Extreme Tardiness!
Hi Guys:
Something has come up and I won't be able to be there until after 1900 hrs at the earliest, if at all. Clive, are you able to get your hands on another PIAT (Projector, Images, Alternate lifestyle, Tittilating)? Sorry, Alex, I won't be able to bring the 17 pounder... haven't got the new tyres on yet! Cheers! Mike :support |
Wets at Gracies

We didn't have a record crowd, but we had some good ole fashion fun. Julie was the server de jour, and she skillfully kept the Guinness flowing. Clive put on a slide show about his Hatian Vacation...all kidding aside, Haiti is a mess. The images displayed the seriousness of the situation in Port au Prince and the surrounding areas.
On the fun side, there were a good number of slides that showed the different types of vehicles used by the UN in Haiti - both military and civilian. I can only imagine the parts and maintenance challenges facing the UN forces in Haiti. I had to depart Gracies early as my 7 year old was stealing my Guinness. Others will chime in with their take on the evening. Both Jesse and I had a great time. Photo 1: L side - young Mr. Chartrand, Gilles Chartrand, Alex Blair, Jesse, Julie, and Joshua. R side - Grant Bowker, Bob Carriere, Clive's neck, and Terry Warner's forehead. Photo 2: The other view...less Julie |
