Ford 9N or 2N Tractor

This is a link to a photo of a Ford tractor. This is the second RCAF tractor I have seen in photos. I can find virtually no info or other photos of these. I have a couple of these tractors and thought it would be different to make one into a military model. Notice the modifications to this particular unit. Very heavy centers in the rear wheels, no fenders, electrical powered compressor, channel stiffener along side of engine, CMP like bumper, one headlamp although that may be due to woman driver, as well as the missing grill. The ribbon is a nice touch. Notice also the paint seems to be a lighter grey than the proper 9N-2N colour.It looks closer to the Ford 8N shade of grey or is it in fact blue?Can anyone help me with any other photos or information?

Barry, great picture you found there. There's nothing I can add to the subject, other than I hope the other woman driver did not damage the Ford Woodie as well :D :D

More women and tractors . . . maybe you should restore one for Janet as according to Ford "almost any woman can operate a modern Ford tractor" :D

Funny you should mention a tractor for Janet. The one in this photo is currently at the garage and we are giving it a "spruce up". I have the big Allis Chalmers and she is a little intimidated by it. She sat on this Ford and it's just the right size, so I want to get it fixed up so I can get more yard work out of her. Last Sunday I tried to get her to sit on the Allis and just work the bucket while I wrapped the chain around trees I was trying to clear. She said she would rather work the chain, so I sat on the tractor and worked one little lever while she did all the bull work with the chain and the brush. What a great Sunday afternoon. :D

Yes, I found the picture of the tractor. The secret "tool" box on the fender
plus the nice axe beside the hood is maybe a nice outfit to protect me between
the "wilds" of Castleton, next year.

For your next trip over I will mount a .40 Glock on the side of the tractor and that's all you will need. Since we took you shooting in that "Redneck Gun Store" in Pennsylvania, you will have no problem with the bears in Castleton.
