Hi-visibilty WWII Cdn Jeep
Came across this image recently. Note the white-painted details includingh the rear marker light and the hand grabs. The photo was taken in the immediate post-war era and the Jeep is from the Canadian Army Film & Photo Unit. The Jeep in the background has used a white tarp on the cowl to protect against scratches from the camera's tripod.

I think I have seen that before - but with 4 to 6 vehicles, at least one more jeep and a HUP, all were variously modified. I'm fairly sure that I saw it on MLU but cant find it at the moment.

I posted the original photo some years ago but thought that a close-up of this jeep warranted another look. Clive |

Hi Clive,
Any idea why they went to so much trouble detailing the parts of the first jeep? Also the white pattern of the front grill. Interesting,Derk. |
