I saw that box being unloaded. It was full of old spanners and I didn't recognize it for what it was. 1972 is a bit too modern for my bits, so I'm glad you got it Mike.
Regards Rick.

Yes Rick

I didn't spot you there !

The guy initially didn't want to sell it .. he said "it holds my spanners" I looked somewhat desperate and offered him $15 . He relented and then his family came over to see what all the fuss was about . I ran off with the box. Although it's dated 1972 ... the box goes back to the early 1950's era.

BTW a guy there had a lot of stuff from a deceased estate..he had a box full of NOS bearings - Timken taper rollers and such..he was selling them for $2 each !

What is that? Radio equipment?

Isn't the Larkspur battery box also used in the Daimler Ferret and Alvis Saladin/Saracin vehicles?

I'd also be interested in acquiring one or four of the boxes for my Larkspur Radio frame as used in the some of the WWII vehicles in the post war period, Studebaker 6X6, White Scout car and Land Rover FFT.

Maybe Mike and I should look as folding some up? His brains and skill and my encouragement and money! :drunk:
