Shaun, The kids are only to eager to help, but give a four year old a paint brush and your asking for trouble. Anyone else had help from the missus and manage to capture it on camera?.
I had to employ her for £10 an hour to do painting as i guessed this proposition could work, she is in there again today finishing the job. Got 5 litres of Light Stone paint on order for the Caunter base coat, this could end up costing me more than I first thought, then its the mortar carrier to do in Olive Drab. She not doing a bad job thow. Half the struggle in carrier restoration work is getting the missus on board, I think those of us who are married know what I am talking about! :salute: kev. |
Hi Kev,
I managed to get mine out to help with pulling down a jeep once- told her it was her jeep and she needed to help!! All went well until i asked her to tap out some dents in a seat- the noise got to her and that was that. However, on the other hand, my parents met in the car club (my and dad both have their own cars and both work on them), so there are ladies out there who will get in and get their hands dirty to work on their vehicles. Infact it was mum who was always down in the shed helping and working on the jeep with me while dad was off working on other things. Either way, great to see the family invovled in all stages of the hobby. Cheers, Ian. Cheers, Ian. |
My wife is supportive of my hobby with the following conditions:
I am not allowed to acquire any more vehicles I am not allowed to acquire any more guns, even if they are for the vehicles I have to teach her how to drive the vehicles I have to finish the "honey do" list before working on the vehicles, and She doesn't have to work on any of the vehicles |
Mine is OK with my problem- I just had to buy her her own jeep....
As long as she thinks its cool, thats all I need. :thup2: Vending parts etc at swaps helps too, that way I can convert old $$$ into new parts and don't need to rob the piggybank. Hard to argue that! :) |
