Poor Ford

Hello Vic,

It's sad to see any CMP blown up.... I must say though - it's about the only Ford F15 with enough legroom for a lanky Aussie (2 Metres) like me.

Tears will be shed all over the world tonight after seeing that picture - and wishing they could find a wreck in such complete and original condition...

A friend has a Chev C15A radio van with what MIGHT be original landmine damage - it's a bit of a mystery as the truck was obtained direct from the Army a couple of years ago...

Cheers

Phill

Worse?

I have a photo from the GM Limited repiar works at Bamber Bridge near Preston, Lancashire with several trucks lined up ready for work..several have NO front ends on at all! I hope that the Ford was gathered up and then rebuilt for further service, and not by the opposition! At least she was not burnt out!

Got any more pix please Vic?

What a sad pic indeed...

...for that was most likely a fatality too.

Slightly more amusing and in the same geographic area is this picture of a F15 belonging to a RAAF or RAF Squadron taken by Ted Sly who flew Spitfires in the Desert with Neville Duke.
I interviewed Ted for the Temora Aviation Museum DVD.
