The Final Drive
A fitting farewell,
......The Royal Canadian Regiment honoured one of its "greatest career soldiers" today. A funeral was held in London for Captain John Reid, a highly-decorated veteran best recognized for his efforts in the Second World War. The funeral contained numerous ceremonial tributes rarely seen for passing veterans. Check out the link. Harris http://www.atv.ca/london/news_76621.aspx |
the greatest RCR?
I recall Strome Gallway had a very eventful and lively WWII career that included many of the famous battles. He was Mr. RCR for a long time. Supposedly he wrote the Op Order for his funeral and left it with his will.

No Doubt....
......that Strome would write his own obit.
