dear all,
I am restoring a Canadian FOX armoured car Mk1 1942. And trying to find parts for over 12 years now. A lot of known FOX owners helpt me with spares but i am sill looking for some importand parts. I have had contact over a long time with James Plush from Australia, he had found 6 GM FOX chassis in his area. But i lost contact and i dont know if he is still there? (a lot of chassis went to Australia) He is the only contact i have for the chassis with the most importand parts i desperatly need to get mine on the road again. Looking for a cpl. front steering gear with mounting, rear axle, gearshifting tower, and many other parts. photos are from James and made in Australia, but dont know where. who can help ?? regards, Paul Visser Netherlands https://www.facebook.com/pg/collecti...47418432085828 Attachment 92112 Attachment 92113 Attachment 92114 Attachment 92115 Attachment 92116 |

James is a member of this forum, see his profile here and send him a PM or email. But he has not been active on our forum since late 2015, so I don't know if he is still involved in our hobby. Do any of our Australian members know him personally? Regards, Hanno |
I know Hanno, i have contacted him several times but no succsess.

Paul,
Did you have any luck with those parts yet? Sadly I couldn't make it to your open house this year, but I hope the project is moving along nicely. Alex |

The first photo you posted with the Fox in b/w was taken in my home town of Hamilton on what we call the High Level Bridge. The bridge is still there in use every day by thousands of cars.

Thank's but i got one now from John Belfield's streetsweeper. But it looks like a fox axle so far.
Thanks a lot Paul |
Hello Paul,
Do you know James Shopland? He has a restored Fox. It was built from 2 as the original and most complete was hit by a mine and the chassis was bent. He found a second rolling chassis and swapped the body over. So I think he may have a damaged rolling chassis. If you can let me know what you are looking for I can pass on your details to him. Regards, Tom |
