Windshield frames

5 Attachment(s)
Hey guys, I had been looking for good windshield frames and hadent come across anything worth putting time into, so using Phil Watermans idea and his site i picked up four Canadian MLVW Windshield frames and hinges and borrowed a real one from Bill Mulhalland and a few hours of measuring cutting and welding came up with the following, there is a few small differences but all in all will keep the water out, untill i tryed to mount them and noticed that the hinge was different, but after a few beer and a 45 degree bend in the hinge it is almost done.

As you can see in the 4th photo how the hinge is wrong, which makes the glass sit out at the top,I am taking them in to work and bending them farther forward in the morning.

It looks to me like the hinge should be on the other side of the frame. :confused

Ya it should lok like the third photo and set into the frame, thats why the hinge was wrong.

Good Work

Hi Jason

Good work - this is one of the harder parts to find for CMPs making new ones is a fiddly little job but with care you have produced what everyone will think is NOS parts.

Cheers Phil
