Evening Bob, Here are a few more pictures of it, I cleaned up the numbers and have come up with GM 5823201, it slill is not showing up in my books.
|
According to the C15A-04 parts list, part number 5823201 is a "FILTER ASSY., Coil to Ignition Switch (used with Wireless Body or Wireless Supression Option)". It is a later replacement for part number 5815597.

How does it work.....
Grant....any idea of how it is connected...... are we talking about the hot wire from the ignition dash switch to the two screw terminals on top of the coil.....? so it fits between the switch and the coil..... and on your cab 13 the coil was isolated inside a metal container.... am i correct..?
Hum !!!! Bob |
Thanks Guys, Now the 100 dollar question is where did it get mounted?

There should be 2 holes lining up with the mount. On the other side of the frame from where your left foot would rest on the side. That should be perfectly clear if we agree on what is the cowl and front clip and left foot. |
Again Thanks guys and thanks Harry, This i will check out in the am.

Filter
If it is opened up it will have about 5 condensors in it. The Canadian UC had a very similar unit for the generator. The American Jeeps and Dodge all had filter units std from the factory.
|
the Ford lynx had the same radio suppressor in it for the radio to keep down the noise. So it was used in most vehicles that had radios
