Brass shift plate GM
I have a brass GM shift plate...probably for a CGT or the rare 3-ton w winch.
as it shows shift pattern for models with transfer case and winch. Being brass I suspect (?) it would be for an early model.. It is in non-issued condition.. I do not now remember where I got it.. Its condition leads me to wonder.. is this really NOS...or did someone at some point repro these? (if so it was an extremely excellent repro) There seems to have been a lacquer covering which has crazed a bit making it shiny and a bit hard to see unless in direct light. It is for sale. |
pm'd you Rob
Interested if still there Marc... Rob Fast

Hi rob
please email me. cheers M |
Original brass plates.
If memory serves me right some 10 years ago some widow in Toronto was selling such NOS shift plates on Ebay for a resonable cost.... she must have liquidated a few dozens of them...... I know I bought one of them and paid her in US cash to boot. They were in excellent conditions and came wrapped in old oily brown craft paper.

Bob, yep that sounds familiar..so its an NOS original
Im having a great deal of difficulty getting a good photo..even using photoshop. ;-( |
Too shinny.....
Even dull brass will reflect to much is you are using the onboard camera flash...... use ambient light or drape a kleenex over you flash to diffuse the light.
