Driving lessons

A couple of weeks ago my 14 year old daughter got to drive a friends FV432 at one of our MV events. She was so pleased with herself that she wanted a go at the Carrier. So today she got her first taste of accelerator, gears and armstrong steering. I'm a proud Carrier dad, she did very well for a first attempt having never driven a manual gearbox let alone warp steering on a reasonably cambered road. LOL .

Mate, she'll probably be a damn good carrier driver, being thin and short! Hahaha! Dad fits alright into a carrier, being of smurf like dimensions, but anyone with real size legs and kiwi bloke size gut has trouble!! :fry: Great to see more young guns getting involved!

I'm very interested

to hear what Steve has to say on that (smurf like)
Thats great to see David. It's always good when the kids show an interest in your hobbies.

Good show David I had my boys driving a 4WD ute by themselves at seven.
You'll have to shout your daughter a pair of work boots so she can drive more often. :thup2:

Safety Boots

Hi David - great to see her driving. However Robert beat me to the punch, steel capped safety boots are a must, metal on skin is unforgiving.

:teach: Bob

Safety Boots ?

Yeah nah we breed em tough over here. Its mandatory with the rural kids that shoes are frowned upon. She did have a pair of jandals (thongs) on but we used them as packing behind the seat cushions so she could reach the pedals. :D lol. Seriously your quite right, when I posted the pick I did think there might be a few comments.

My eldest Greg just comented that your daughter has the same feet as he has with the second toe longer than the big one.

It's also fun to try it in a LHD vehicle, such as a Jeep. "Can you throw it to me?"

The trick when going through a "MacDs" in a left hand drive is to get your commander to buy ! but this can still be a problem. I speak from experence, my commander had no cash on him !!!!!
