Disruptive paint scheme

Recently I contacted Jeff Plowman the author of the Kiwi Armour series about the possibility of NZ LP2 carriers ever having a disruptive paint scheme. Here in NZ they were only Khaki green as far as we know. However Jeff has confirmed that a LP2 carrier with a disruptive paint scheme surviving on Guadacanal is a NZ built one. It is one of the carriers sold to the US Marine Corps in 1943. The 2 tone colours are are unknown unless someone here has a colour picture of this carrier or has visited it. Attached is a photo that Jeff e-mailed me showing one of the NZ carriers with the paint job.

The marines themselves may have painted the cammo on so I'd be looking at US Marine Cammo pattern colours as I know they painted tanks and other vehicles with cammo during the Pacific War. :)

Thanks Cliff. Looks like there's 3 colours on that vehicle. At present I'll stick with the monotone paint job as it reflects who she belonged to, but at least wev'e got some information should the need ever arise to represent a LP2 in US Marine Corps colours serving in the Pacific.
