I need a couple 303 Ammo Boxes for my Universal carrier I believe its the 288 round boxes that will fit in the front bins like in the picture.

H51 Boxes
Just so that you know, the H51 Box that you have pictured was only introduced in 1945, so it would not be seen on Carriers during the war years.

I've got a couple of those you can have, if they are the right ones. Any suggestions as to which ones would be the correct ones?

Sent you a email, Thanks.

I think you should buy a snowplow for it first

appropriate markings
Be alert to what markings are on the boxes. I may be wrong, but the British continued using wartime pattern packaging for years and until the replacement with NATO 7.62x51 cartridges. The one in the picture looks Post-Korea. Finding a wartime example might be pricey.
A few years ago I tried to correct an Ebay seller who insisted that a .303BR ammunition box similar to yours, was a genuine WWI Normandy campaign survivor - and attributed to a particular unit! I told him. The former curator of the regimental museum told him. But he insisted that the oldtimer who told him something once upon a time was a more credible source. Oh well. I finally told the Ebay authorities that he was misrepresenting his item, and left it at that. |

These will work just fine as for the most part you will only see the tops of them once installed into the bins. |
