Bruce..
..is getting to the end of his rope with the pin punch thingy.
If I had one I'd give it to him to bring down his blood pressure. Peter S |
I too have an NOS grease gun which will be for sale.. Will put up photos next week. Tough to establish a reasonable price on such things..as so few are found and offerred.

So I guess......
So I guess the two I found in New Zealand don't count! Well... I've got 2 more resources I'm awaiting for answers from, so I haven't given up hope. You drive a tough bargain Bruce.....Robert :bang:
|
Robert
Mines coming from the U.K. Couldnt we have just swapped or something
|
Lynn....
Phone number please to rob.mor@shaw .ca. Cheers ....R.
|
Well Lynn...
Lynn: Here's the deal. Traded A WW11 CDN Lynx Manual Copy to a mate of mine in NZ, for a Bren gun Carrier Pin Punch. AND the curse of the the deal is BRUCE HARRIS from Canada. He drives a vicious bargain/trade. No heart what so ever! Although he does have some funny/rude emails to trade....he still remains a heartless bastard. However, that being the point....he wants a CDN unit ...fully stamped etc etc. AND all that for a POW tin! Some what unbalanced I'd say!
But never the less....I'm arranging for a couple of containers to NZ with not only house hold goods, but a s'''t load of military parts and vehicles. Care to talk to me Lynn.....Robert |
??????
How did this all start with a grease gun???? Robert :confused
|
Robert
I will send a P.M.
|
Rob,
"Heartless So&So, Vicious Trader, Rude Spammer" and so on and so forth......Humphhhhhh..... All this flattery..sheesh...Stop....you are making me blush ! But, you will not get my POW(s) without a fight! Even.... if you drop Simundson's name. Why you are exporting 2 container loads of house hold trash, used Toyota parts, flyswatters, 8 track tapes, stubbys and beaver traps... to help me with one simple tool is questionable? Just what kind of a collector are you anyway?????? XOXOX Bruce |
Love you too Bruce!
Dear Mr Harrummmph!! Just so happened that my friend in NZ is working with a fellow who has quite a few carriers. And he and I decided to trade a pin punch for the manual copy. But to no avail....not a CDN piece, but still 2 punches just the same..... just down the road from Lynn Eades. I emailed Lynn this morning with some details.
The container thing is this: My friend has emigrated to NZ and I'm handling the container move from this end (Vancouver). One container is for house hold goods plus some military parts and the second container will be for military vehicles and parts. At this point, we're just doing a logistics reece, along with measurements etc etc. We talk at least once a week along with emails, so your punch was just part of the conversation. I'm still awaiting a couple of replies from other sources I've contacted. Love the challenge! So put my name on one of those tins....the nicest one of course! And for collecting, it's all over the board for whatever turns my crank. I own a 1944 C60L (formally Marc Montgomery's) and the last (and I can be corrected by any forum member) 1943 HUW ZL #68. Although I've been in touch with Kostas in Greece and we're comparing notes. I've got to post some pictures one of these days. So that's it.....and the search goes on for the elusive pin punch. Still interested in the box of 36's? I've had a number of inquiries. Say Hi to Peter!! Robert |
Hmmm...
Name Droppers.......
Peter S |
Thanks for posting the pictures of the punch. Now I can arrange a scrounge to a favorite haunt and know what im looking for.

Bruce and Robert
I have received my NOS track pin punch from the U.K. and can report that it is not Canadian marked. It has the octagonal grip area and is marked "B 24125" I guess its a British one.
Bruce; You can now breathe. :D |
Deep breathes....
......and the search continues Bruce :bang:
|
Coronation Street......
Like the longest running TV series......the search goes on :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang....R.

My track punch is a vintage Canadian marked (Fuller Co.) screwdriver, circa 1980 (might be from the Shell gas station promo handouts, remember those?) with the end removed. Any takers? I'll accept virtually any carrier part in exchange. I'll even engrave a T---- number on it for the lucky new owner...
sarcasm off. Why the drama around a simple tool? |
Good one Hans!
You put it in perspective.
Peter S |
Drama?? Not.
People that read drama into this post are... Well, Im not sure.
If one cannot see the humor here, between the lines, its best not follow this thread. Robert, are you ready to really rile the ranks, my drama friend??!!! :-) Peter, really? Perspective...That's a fancy word... kinda like Marmalade. To everyone else... cheers and thanks for all the help. Harris PS..Yes Im still looking. |
Bruce
I wish you success, because to some of us at least, what your doing is a great thing.
