Robin, more than a few guns, Bofors, 37 mm Gun M3, german FlaK 43 and Pak 36 I believe to name a few

I suspect you are talking about the M4 37mm shell as per the Stuart tank, the jeep towed gun, and the Dodge gun motor carriage M6.

I meant the shell not the gun, and now that I've checked, I was wrong anyway. It's an M16 not an M4
