New CMPs in plastic from Ireland
http://www.mirror-models.com/Home.html
15cwt Otter C15 Armoured truck Never thought I'd see these in plastic 1/35 |
At last!
I'll be recommending they do a 3 tonner ASAP either in 12 or 13 Cab. Lets hope all these kits are priced reasonably. As I said years ago on another thread, Italieri have lost the plot - when you compare all the variations of the OPEL Blitz we have to endure its a shame they never bothered to develop the 1/35 scale Chevy C15 Blitz they have been producing on and off since taking over mould from Airfix, which in turn was a very old 1970s kit that I think originated from Max or Peerless? |

I guess this list will be longer because Mirror Models has sister company LZ Models which produces limited variants of kits like C15A Cab 11/12 Water Tank Lorry. |
F15A surely ?
Looks like a F15A to me
The Morris CS8 is of interest to me , the larger metal Cs8's offered on EBAY are very expensive . |

Looking at the website, I think the following paragraph on there explains it; Quote:

I have one of their kits here and had a hand in supplying a few measurements for the model. This is a finely detailed kit of the C15A and is true to scale. Mirror Models intend on having a complete lineup of all CMP vehicles from 15cwt up to 3 ton in both Ford and Chev. Not sure about the 8cwt though. :thup2:

Coooooool!!!

They are not bad examples are they? |
mirror models
The kit 35101 arrived the other day complete with etch kit ,very nice, only thing incorrect so far is the ford gearbox [ complete with tire compressor ]. good kit 0n C15A.
|
and a lot more to come. LZ models which is a sister company to Mirror Models makes assessories for the Mirror Kits. While these models are not for the beginner they have taken great pains to make the kits as accurate as possible. At present it is mainly Chev's in the line up BUT Ford CMP's are coming soon along with a HUP and other vehicles like a Diamond T wrecker in plastic and indian WW2 motor bike. :)

So from the above are you saying that the Chevrolet 35101 has the wrong gearbox from a Ford? Do they do a Ford F15 as well?
Having said that they are still great kits NB - For small scale I think 1/72 would be better as most kits are in this scale now. |
I like the water truck. Now if I drop the tank on the Cab 13 it would be even better.

These kits are NOT for beginners either and I have to do just a little at a time as well but they will make up to be a really good detailed model. Ford versions are on the way along with 30cwt and 60cwt versions of both Ford and Chev. :thup2: PS> LZ Models is owned by the same folk as Mirror Models |
