To me your into armor territory with that price, but as of late the market has started to regain and personally I have seen like 1 or 2 for-sale in the last few years compared to dukw, which i see all the time.
Its worth what the guy with the most is willing to pay |

That is a cool vehicle. I love the fact that in one pic it shows it being towed on a trailer by a pick up!!
|
Definitely a good price, plus it had the Tatra diesel engine taken out and a more modern diesel put into it, if I just just didn't buy the darn Cromwell and dingo lat month, I would buy it!!! I miss my old Ot-810 that I had a few years ago, fun to drive and play with.. Someone will get a good bargain!

Isn't it only for sale within the usa?
Why no export? |
There will be paperwork needed as it is armor to export, maybe seller cant be bothered.

If someone in another country really wants it, buy it, I will take possession and transfer it if someone is really interested, I don't mind handling it.
|
Nobody bought it...
Looks like nobody bought it as there were no bids when it ended.
What would the paperwork be like to get it to Canada? |
The listing stated it was forsale outside ebay and could be pulled if sold outside. The US requires export permit, in Canada to import you will need to be registered with the controlled goods directorate for importing armor

I looked at the auction again and it does say that it was pulled because it's no longer available.

Andrew,
Have you yourself imported armour from outside of Canada? R |
I tried too, dealing with cgd, boarder and foreign affairs/international trade. Boarder didn't care after talking to them, cgd said they didn't have any issue, but FAIT said no go without registering with controlled goods. I found a smoking great deal on an m20, but gave up after nauseating conversations for over 2 weeks with FAIT. The problem I have found in the past is not one person you talk to will have the same answer as the other. I talked to very high up at FAIT and said why do they have a problem when CGD and boarder didnt, he said they should and must be misinformed. He said I could try importing it but at some point he FAIT would be involved and stop importing. I have since lobbied my neighbor cpc Peter Van Loan, and at the time CGD head Rona Ambrose about this sillyness on old armor and they both told me the Government sees the issue and will be changing it, but not in the near future.

A gentleman from Canada I know has imported armor from the states (HAC MKIV) and is also getting ready to import more toys from the UK.

Controlled goods is for bureaucrats, not people with intelligence who can make a decision.
Good night R |

Princess Auto sold those Norden bombsights in the 1970s for about $20. Times sure have changed.
