NEW BOOK: British Military Trucks of World War 2
I am not sure if this has been posted yet. But I just bought a copy of the new "Tankograd Publishing" book "British Military Trucks of World War 2", written by forum member Les Freathy.
It's a real must-have for anyone interested in Commonwealth vehicles with hundreds of pictures, many previously unpublished. It will find a nice spot on the shelve, next to other publications by forum members like David Hayward, Nigel Watson, Clive Law and Bart's books! Alex p.s. I have no connections to the writer, publisher or seller http://www.tankograd.com/cms/website...orld-War-2.htm http://www.tankograd.com/html/img/po...rucks%2001.jpg http://www.tankograd.com/html/img/po...rucks%2002.jpg http://www.tankograd.com/html/img/po...rucks%2003.jpg http://www.tankograd.com/html/img/po...rucks%2004.jpg http://www.tankograd.com/html/img/po...rucks%2005.jpg |
Yes this book and a few others from Tankograd are on my 'To Buy' list as well :thup2:

Alex,
Les did mention it in passing, so thanks for the proper heads-up here! Did you buy it from the publishers, or from a local retailer? Enquiring minds want to know as it's on my wants list too. Thanks, Hanno |
Yep, me too.
Thanks for the heads up Rich |
Abe
There are 3 copies available on ABE books. Hylands in Melbourne has a copy too.

Next to the publisher, it's also for sale from:
HTH, Hanno |
Hanno,
I bought it (the last one he had) at the Wings and Wheels show in Belgium from German bookseller "army-book.de". "Poppybooks" in Holland also had it available at the show. Jan-Willem de Boer might visit Paul Vissers open house in Winkel, next weekend (he also lives in Winkel) so you could email him and ask him to bring a copy. I also plan to go to Winkel, so could also pick it up for you. Alex |

Thanks for the info and offer, but I just ordered it through Amazon for a mere 3,- Euro S&H (compared to 15,- Euro at the publisher). Hanno |
Glad to see a lot of interest in the book i have been informed its selling well with a lot of comments, its about time to. I do believe i could have included a lot more but where does one draw the line on the cost of books these days that said i am sure many will find the contents very useful now what next i wonder?
