My tip would be to go and have a good look at that C15 close to your home. At least you will learn more about CMPs and see what you will get for around EUR 5500. And who knows what will happen when you turn up with EUR 4000 cash in hand . . .
If I were you I would not turn a CMP down on it's dash type and see if there's still some guilders stuffed in that old mattress in the attic and then hop on your bike to Waddinxveen :)

This may sound silly, but what i dont like about that one is the civil dashboard...
Otherwise the looks are fine....

My budget is limited to +/- 4000 euro's though...
But tips are always welcome!

:D
But seriously, do you think that i might be able to find a original engine somewhere?

Hanno Spoelstra 25-08-12 10:54

The best thing about this C15 is that it is a running vehicle. You can always make alterations later. It will take searching, but an engine can be found, there was one on Marktplaats earlier this year. Engine parts can be had from dealers like Dirk Leegwater and Jaap Rietvield. Go for it!

That's too bad....

There's not a lot to choose if you want a ww2 vehicle, unless you buy a restoration project. Sometimes there's a Dodge WC series to be had for that sort of money. What about this one in Belgium?

found it :)

Great truck. In my opinion the hard cab GMC is the prize larger vehicle of WW2. Can't understand why they are so cheap in Europe - for speed, comfort and sheer fun to drive they leave CMP and British vehicles far behind. Perhaps because there are so many of them people find the other vehicles "more interesting". Best of luck on your future runs.

Excellent! Congrats on the buy, great to let us know what you bought.

And now go out and buy some paint to change it into a British paint scheme.....

... or perhaps they are large, so are not easy to store in a densely populated areas like W-Europe, plus one need a truck diver's license to drive one in most countries.

I just might Hanno ;)
Thanks for the compliment !
If i look really deep down my soul i do think i'd rather have found a British or Canadian Truck, because of family sentiments(grandfather)

but i just didnt seem to find one within my budget...

AND i'm truly happy with this closed Cab variant..
It's almost a luxury truck ;)
And has a winch which is also a cool accessory
