need special 19 set dogbone
I was about to sacrifice a regular dogbone but thought I should ask here first.
My WS19HP (Can) is restored but I need the dogbone that goes between the power supply & the amp. This looks like a regular one but is wired differently. It is also keyed at the 2 o'clock position, not the usual 4 o'clock. Part # from the manual is Conn. 12 point C19-1. Hopefully someone might have the piece and wonder why it wont fit a regular 19 set. I would like to spark this baby up soon. |

Ah yes, the HV hand jive! Done that a couple of times. Certainly reinforces the one hand rule.
To test the psu I had to remove it from the case and bypass the interlocks. You respect 1300 vdc. |
Special dog bone
Hi Bruce,
From the bowls of the warehouse appeared a correct dog bone as you require. NOS, and correctly marked. I also have a few of the regular "4 o'clock" dog bones PM me for details. ..... Brian |
Thanks Brian, PM sent

the difference
Hi.
Can you tell me if the normal not connected points in the centre are used? I have an odd one that is at four o'clock and has extra wires in it. regards Peter |
maybe
I have one here that is marked :
conn 12 pt ? No. 16 or 14 ? mk 11 It has a lead coming out of one of the 6 pin connectors, the lead has a 2 pin bakelite connector on its end with ZA 12979 on it |
For Peter:
On the normal Canadian MKIII plug, pins 9, 10, 11 & 12 are not used. Not sure about your key rotation. Early plugs were fixed but later shells could be rotated. For Mike: It sounds like you have a connector for use with the British HP amplifier. The 6 pin versions were #14 & #16 and the 12 pin version was #27. The 2 pin lead went to the socket marked "control" on the front of the amp. |

During the 1950's the Aust. army modified the 19 set amp., for use with the 122 set ( Aust) , the mod involved removing two of the 807's and fitting a meter in the front panel . A friend VK5WT had his 122 and the amp running , it put out around 50 watts carrier from memory . I did own one of those modified amps at one time . |
Good news, yes this is one, the bad news is .....
I checked with a HP and power unit and they are indeed little different positioned than on a 19 set.
The odd one fits easily so it came with the lot of ws kit including a HP. I know now why it didn't fit a 19set + PU set up. Was just considering to make it fit. see pictures; first one is inside with the extra wires connected in the centre and the second one with the ordinary bone. https://sites.google.com/site/milmar...hpo%20bone.jpg top one in the second picture is the HP one https://sites.google.com/site/milmar...attredirects=0 the odd thing is they have the same ordering number???? Connector 12 pt No 23A (Canadian) RCA 110076 Now the bad new I cannot sell it sorry Peter Hommes http://www.milmarket.org |
