Looking for pictures of trucks painted in "Foliage Pattern" camouflage

Although it has been discussed on this forum before (like here), I would like to bring this subject back to top again.

Who has some good pictures of vehicles painted in accordance to the "Foliage Pattern" in MTP 46 Part 4A: PAINTING OF MECHANICAL TRANSPORT 1941? Note: this is not the ubiqutious "Mickey Mouse" paint scheme.

As per the experts Mike Starmer and Mike Cooper:
Quote:

1942- 44 – M.T.P. 46/4A introduce new toned schemes aimed primarily against aerial observation, usually using the BS.987C browns as laid down in A.C.I. 1160 of May 1942. The most common versions were variants of the ‘Foliage’ pattern and the ‘Mickey Mouse’ variant of the ‘Dapple’ pattern. Vehicles continued to be delivered and used in plain S.C.C. 2 following A.C.I. 1160 which gave S.C.C. 2 as “Basic Paint”. In October 1943 A.C.I. 1496 authorised S.C.C. 14 (black) as the main shade over S.C.C. 2.
See http://bcoy1cpb.pacdat.net/mtp_46_pt_4a_painting_mt.htm for scanned copies of M.T.P. 46

Thanks!
Hanno

I think it's "Foliage Pattern" from Pamphlet No 46 issued 27th November 1941

In Mickey Mouse Paint Scheme Clive Elliot posted pictures of the three types of pattern described in 26/GS Publications/644 1941, apparently this had the same content as M.T.P. 46.

I am looking for examples of the Foliage Pattern as pictured below.

Hanno,

Not a very exciting example, but the pattern is just visible, top left, on the Tilly canvas in this colour transparency of the then Princess Elizabeth, during her driver training.

Also note the red jack and what appears to be a rigid tool box. The normal leather type is shown in front to the Austin ambulance.

Cheers

Another. It's from somewhere on the forum, but probably originally from one of the Gregg books (?)

p.s. Hanno....did you closely examine my earlier posting?;)

A few scans from the book "The Canadia Soldier 1944-1945" by "Histoire & Collections". (great book for the shelf by the way!)

Tree-branch-foliage camo, I'd say! :D

Thanks,

Thanks Paul,

Hard to make out the type of camoflage, but it's there. Rest of the Tilly seems to one colour?
Also, the Austin seem to have a darker colour on the lower parts?

Thanks Alex,

Both for the wartime shots as well as the artist's impression of what my F15A should look like! :thup2:
