Blitz? jack
I am at a property in Queensland clearing out 100 years of stuff for some friends. Found a jack that looks familiar but no camera. If it is military I will keep it. What is it?
Quite large. Has a flat rectangular plate on the bottom about a foot long by 6 inches wide. This is surmounted by a similar shape low "box" about an inch high. Coming from the centre is a round screw type jacking section. This vertical screw section has a handle cast in at 45 degrees running down to the top of the flat base box. The winding fitting (where you put the jack handle) has a small "handle" sticking out, I suppose to wind up quickly with your fingers until pressure takes up. |
Promo reply!
Hi Lang, nothing like a prompt reply but you are correct the jack you found is a Canadian jack and would have been used on CMP's. if only you had picked it up!

I found this jack at a garage sale a few weeks ago. I had no idea what it was from, but thought it was worth the $1 asking price. It would be a bonus if was for a CMP.

Is it rated at 4 tons? I have one similar with that rating which I thought would be more than a blitz would need.
