toggle switches for cab 11 or cab 12 dash panel
Hi Guys does anyone have any spare NOS switches to fit a cab 11 or cab 12 dash panel?
To be a bit more clear, I am talking about a Ford, with the commercial instrument cluster, mounted centrally in the cab, over the dog house. |

Hi Lynn
Do you have a photo of the type you are looking for, because from previous discussions of switches there seem to be different types used. Some trucks had/have the short toggles with a little ball at the end while others (later) have longer toggles. There are some modern equivalents which have very similar toggle styles but the actual switch bodies are different. I've found visual matches to both types at Ham Radio Flea Markets. While we're on Lynn's question how about people posting pictures of the different original switches that are kicking around for each of the different Patterns 11, 12, 13 Ford and Chevy. I'll start with 3 original switches from my Pat 12 Chev. Cheers Phil |

I noticed the last photo was for a Dodge switch, i think i attached the wrong one.
Here is another. Frank can correct me if it is not this one. :) Eric |
Eric,
The first photo you posted resembles switches that I've found in CMP (they were in a Chevrolet). Some sources say these switches are Ford, for the "waterproofed for wading" setup. Also, the part number on the side of the switch looks like a Ford number. I can't say they weren't used in Dodges as well. Perhaps the switch shown and the sealed boxes are not matched???? I may need to drop Frank a line to see if he has more of the switches shown (and the configuration with fewer terminals on the rear). Similar looking switches are at LWD parts: Canadian Ford Parts page 12 of 18 Some of the (I think) older design switches with ball end handles are at LWD parts Canadian Chevrolet page 3 of 13. |
Dodge switch
Yes the Dodge one looks the same as Ford cab 13 switches.
The second pic Eric posted looks more like a cab 12 one. Quote:

Hi Guys. I appreciate the responses. The switches I am looking for have "flats" on each side, to fit in the holes in the panel.
The old ones are ball end type with a short lever, and appear to be copper or copper coated. There are of course two types one that is straight on/off, and a fuel tank one with a left/ center/ right. I am after a set of 3 and one. Phill, I will do some photos. BTW the dash panel has an F60L serial plate on it. |
