British Army Generator Manuals wanted

Always interested in any surplus British war-time Gennerator Manuals to go in the collection.

If you need a particular manual I may be able to supply a copy.

Generator manuals

I have extra original NOS copys of the "service manual for Onan electric plants model No. W25-5 and model No. W2S-16 and NOS champion H-6 spark plugs to fit these generators.
These were static pad mounted genetators two cylinder water cooled with 12 v and 120 v output rated at 2000 and 3000 watts

I just found the spark plugs, they are champion 6-M

Sorry Roberta I should have made it clearer that I was only interested in British manufactured Generators.

This is a list of what I already have either as originals or copies. Where there is a star I have an example of the Generator.

Charging Set 1260 watt No.6 (Villiers)
Battery Charging Set 1260 watt No.5 JAP*
1260 watt Battery Charging Set (Petter)*
Douglas 2 3/4 Generating Set*
BSA 300 Watt Charging Set*
Generating Set Lyon/Norman 1KW, 110 volt D.C. N.o.2 Tpl*
Generating Set 2.75 K.V.A. (Jowett Cars Ltd)
Lyon 10inch Beach Landing Equipment (JAP)
Douglas 1200 VA/350 watt Generating Set*
Enfield 2 3/4 Generating Set

Wording is as on front of manuals.

Am looking for a copy of the manual for the Stuart Sirius steam generator.

Tim

Ps - Somewhere I have one of the Coventry Climax generator manuals... I will have a look for it.

I'm with Tim...I'd like a copy of the Stuart Steam Genny too.

I found a good 4 aprt article in old "Madel Engineer" magazine, but would like to read the original manual.

And somewhere on the computer I have a manual for an 80 (?) watt unit..

Unable to help unfortunately.

These sets do come for sale from time to time and they are usually boxed and unissued. They even strangely produced them post-war as well.

If you looked down this dealer page you will find he has the post-war version for sale. I enquired some years ago how much he wanted and I am not surprised he still has them.

Hopefully

Attached to this is a cover for "charging set lightweight 80 watt"

Need more?

Neil Ashley 04-03-13 08:54

I already have it along with two of the 80 watt model generators.

Very late war and probably saw very little service as any vehicle which had the room carried the much more capable 300 watt Generator.
