gun sight case - 25 pounder? AFVs?

The gunsight used on the 25 pounder and also in several Brit AFVs were almost the same int he size of the body, and oftent he only way to tell what gu it was for, was to look at the reticules.

The stowage case for these were used on a number of scopes. I am tryign to find one.

These are about 20 inches long, and made of light steel/tin and painted. The top had a hinged cap and a clasp. There was a wider "top" to it.

Haven't figured how to post pictures yet...

Anyone know what I am on about, ahave any leads? Tried the Gunners Store int he UK. He knows what I am lookign for but doesn't have any to sell.

ANyone else?

Thanks for the assist Bruce!
Is that from your Fox, or is that one of the older pics of Niel Ashley's Humber? That picture may have started from me back in the day!

Cheers!

Oh... I do have two of the leather scope covers. I would trade one for a metal one.

That's a No.22 scope and case that's about half the size of the one Jim is looking for.

Yes Jim, that is a photo I got from you.

Here's the case I have in my Fox. It's an early one dating from 1938 and is a little more round than the WW2 type. It also has that rod out the bottom that I have no idea what its for. My sighting scope is the right one (R.E.L. Canada, marked MG/MG) and I have a spare that is configured for a 6 pdr. and MG, so probably Ram tank.

Jim can have the first case to show up, I get dibs on the second!!
