6 Mar 13 Ottawa Metro story about Bill Hebb's water truck

In the past few years competition in the newspaper business has meant paid tabloid and broadsheet papers, as well as free "bus rider" sized publications. Today's example of the Ottawa Metro (p24) in the Drive section, has a full page story with 6 colour photos of Bill Hebb's 15-cwt water truck. Not sure where he or the truck are, but it is a runner.

Is there an online link or can you scan the story and photos?

Thanks

Chevrons

Guess Bill couldn't decide which way to mount the tires, so he picked one facing N, the other facing S.

I guess the car dealer resold it to Bill Hebb....

Glad it is being enjoyed.... but sadly not in Ottawa.

I'd love to get about a half an hour with a camera and this truck. :)

Wayne, you old dog! North, South, misdirected tread patterns! Only a grubby old Platoon Warrant Officer would want to go give the man a hard time.

Pictures......

.... you just need to ask Ian.

I have quite a few I took while it was still in Owen Sound area.

I can send them to you home email for higher resolution.....

........ but bet you there are some angles you will need that I may not have.....

Better late than never

In Answer to the front tires being on backwards, yes they are.
In 1943 the idea was to leave it in 2 wheel drive until you got stuck. When you got bogged down, you put in 4 wheel drive reverse and the tires were suppose
To kick you back out. This idea didn't last long I guess. Anyway, this information was provided to me by a fellow I trust completely.
Thank you for the kind words Jason.
