Hi, heres som pictures of my original canvas splash shields under the cab. I will make a drawing with meassurments for those of you who migt need that. Its made from very thick canvas.

Unusual....

Where and how where they installed....?

I suspect they may have been modification for Northern driving..... keeping water slush from the engine.

The early cab 11 had some vestige of a rubber shield installed to prevent splashing the engine...... keep in mind that ignition systems were not as water proof as today.....

Has anyone ever discovered the full rubber system on a cab 11 or cab 12...? as I would love to restore my that way.....

Hi

They were mounted on the cab framing on each side of the engine under the cab floor, hanging down and "sealing" against the main frame.

My truck i an X-water truck. So it could be a water truck issue, but I see no obvious reason for them on a water truck.

I have an arctic kit on mine, so that might be it?? But the winter manual says nothing about that though.

No I just looked, there has never been anything mount there on this water truck. I think Bob is correct in thinking it might be part of a Arctic kit.
