SOLDI have a project jeep that I would consider parting with as i have many projects on the go.
1953 M38A1, has Canadian CFR stamping on frame but sports US data plates.
Apparently this was not unusual as some of our early A1s were purchased under US Contract direct from Willys Toledo and not under the Canadian Contract. All date tags are intact and in place. The jeep has a clean ownership as well.
The body is quite restorable with the rocker areas, toolbox and tub rear requiring work.
Typical dents and dings in fenders and hood.
This is a restoration project.
It is a rolling vehicle, the engine has been removed.
Some damage done to the motor mounts and bellcrank but repairable.
I have enough spares to make this complete including a takeout motor.
I also have a bunch of Jeep residue if a fellow wants yo buy as a package deal.

I need parts and pieces for M274, M38A1 etc. Militaria and weaponry as well.

If it does not go I either hang on to for a long term project or, eek, break for spares....

Btt one last time. I would really like to see this go to someone who would like to restore a vintage MV. This would be a great start for a novice collector / restorer.
I have had a couple offers from Bubba but would rather part it out to serious MV guys than let Bubba build a bush buggy. The last jeep I sold was a really decent M38 that I did not know was going to see this fate, otherwise I would have kept it. Worst thing of all was that Bubba tossed all the mil-spec trinkets and 24v items.... :doh:
So, in all seriousness, I would prefer to sell whole, in a package, to an interested party.
Please don't PM me looking for odds and ends at this time. If it ends up broke for spares I will list it at that time.:cheers:

Chris, I applaud your wish to see collectible MVs go to someone who appreciates them for the rare and historic items they are, and not "bubbify" them or otherwise beat the .... out of them.
