Humber FV1601 Clutch Plate
 

Am after either a NOS clutch plate to suit the Humber 4 x 4 FV1601 or information into a non standard replacement part number for one. Have tried in town and thought i had one only to find that the non-standard plate with dampener springs hit the pressure plate fingers when disengaged, so no good and back to the supplier. I can go through the process of getting the old plate relined but would prefer a new plate. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Gday Dave,been told your the man to ask re the gaiters for fv1600,dont know if this is the correct way to contact you as im new on here but thought i would give it a go.Did you ever work out/get clutch plate sorted? Cheers

Hello John, I ended up having the clutch plate relined and reconditioned have had no problems with it so far. I had sourced a forklift clutch plate which fitted but struck the pressure plate when disengaged. Yes, I have had canvas gaitors manufactured by my local canvas bloke they have a wet suit zipper in then so they can be replaced in-situ. I also have 3 x NOS rubber gaitors which I sourced for ours, however, after battling with the drive stations I believe the only way to tackle them and keep your sanity is to fit the gaitors after reassembly. One draw back with the canvas is that it does not hold oil if you have any leaks they allow the oil to seep through the canvas. Easy to fit though with no disassembly of drive train required, I have them down to about 20 min fitting time.

Thanks Dave ,i assume they are similar to vw swing axle slip over and (they) bolt together except yours have the zip.do you have any extra ones made and for sale at all?cheers
