part number water pump belts

Does anyone have a modern part number for the water pump belts for an early Ford side-valve engine?
Part number and brand appreciated, in Australia would be helpful.

Thanks

ps: tried to search on MLU but no luck...

17A1425 belt.

(I'm thinking that this would have been better in the "Restoration forum", than the Marketplace.)

Belt

Not wanting to add confusion...
I came up with a 15A1385
:confused :confused :confused

Well I tried a number of businesses for the 17A1425 belt and no one had it.
Have an auto place looking into it for me, will wait and see.

The parts book for the Ford CMP and the BGC only list a Ford number that no longer transfers across to a modern number.
Euan did give me the details for a Dunlop V85 belt number from a NOS belt, but that made no sense to the auto/belt places either.

Will continue to look...

Darrin, not sure, but try these
Water pump and gen = TR24530
Fan TR26366
These are gates numbers.
I think it is easy to get the wrong section belts.

Over here in NZ we just use, I think it's a B52 ( B -being the section width of the belt )

ajmac 03-08-13 22:30

Andrew is that 52" long? I need to get a pair for mine.

Lynn Eades 04-08-13 02:38

Alastair. IF they are a B section belt, that makes it easier by far.
Does yours have double pulleys on the water pumps and gennie, with two belts the same?
THe Australian carrier with the 42 engine has two different belts, One for the fan, and one for the gennie and water pumps.

My setups use double pulleys all around.
I am pretty sure the 52 is the length in inches for the belts.
I checked the product code on the SKF packet today, and is just marked as B52.

Yes Andrew, that's what it means.
