Plate, wiring Ws No. 19: Universal Carrier

Offhand, would someone be able to please tell me where the brass wiring plate layout No. 6 MKII was mounted in the Universal Carrier? Ref . No. 64463C of Z.A. 10345.

Carrier wiring diagram plate

In the operating instructions UC-F1 section R pg 22 para 68.

" Mount the wiring diagram plate (not shown on drawings) on the forward engine cover plate, using four 1/4-20 x 1/2 long round head machine screws nuts and lock washers. This engine cover must be drilled in the field to take the plate, and the necessary holes should be made so that they clear the asbestos metal retaining strip located on the inside of the cover"

And that's the answer.

Michael R. Yes! It does appear that someone (disguised as a girl) can (and did) :D

Due to the asbestos reference and radio location: the driver side rear compartment forward engine cover. Thanks Bobbie J.

If you have the plate could you please put up a scan of it.
Maybe some one knows where to get it reproduced, I would like to have one for my MK III installation in my carrier.

I have one of these plates in my bits n bobs collection (maybe one day will get a carrier to put it on) - but am in the middle of moving house - so no likelihood of finding it this side of the new year. If you dont get anywhere with anyone else drop me a line and I'll see if it's possible to get it copied.
