C15 video

Hello Svenn, nice video and nice C15.
One question I notice that the battery is behind the left seat is this normal?
Our trucks batteries are located on the right side outside the truck, close to the step. We own two C15A and we used them to pull two 25 Pounder guns, we had to make some modifications. For Example we replaced the generator by an alternator, and much bigger mirrors and mirror support etc.

Yes, in this case the battery belongs inside the cab, the vehicle is equipped with the winterization kit, window heaters, crankcase diluter and the battery is then placed inside the cab against the cold.

Hendrik.

PS. I am for my Wrecker looking for the air deflectors for the windows, anyone who can help me?

Truck looks great

Hi Svenn

Great to see the finished product, the truck looks great. What can you tell us about the tires they look similar to sand tires?

Cheers Phil

Hi all. Thanks for the comments.

The tires are Norwegian Army clover tires. (Clover pattern) They were made by Askim Gummivarefabrikk AS. (Askim Rubber product factory ltd) These were common on all WW2 Dodges used in the Norwegian Army after the war.

They are nice to drive on but they wear down quite fast.

My C15A got the name Rosie..first of all due to the text in ACDCs whole lotta Rosie- "she aint exactly pretty..she aint exactly small" ( I am a big ACDC fan :note:)

But then Phil Waterman told me that Rosie is the icon of all the woman working in the war industry during ww2:

Nice truck !

All lot of canadian soldiers visited Norway after the war on exercices .

They came back with a lot of fond memories.

Your winters are a lot like ours in Canada.

Keep on the good work !

Merry X-Mas.
