Sexton markings.
Can anyone tell me what the white squares on the engine doors are. Looks like this may be something the convoy light shines upon? Jesse. Sorry, can't add the picture from my phone.

Correct, white patch for the convoy light. I used to have an original Sexton covoy light!
Adrian, just a plain white patch? Jesse.

This is probably the only picture I've seen of the rear of war-time Sextons. I see unit markings also. Isn't that a unit marking on the Gerry can?
I would hazard a guess and say that the marking you see on the RH jerrycan is a letter "W" for water.
The left Jerry can spears to have a 76 on it partially obscured by a strap. The trouble is finding a good quality picture to see it.
The vehicle forward of it has the 76 in clear located between the white square and the right water can.
On the rear vehicle it appears to be on the left water can. Also, the US water cans are interesting. The line drawing in the manual shows US water cans, but I put commonwealth cans on any way.
