T16 Start Button
Gents, I've looked all over and can't find a push start button for my T16. It's the last piece I need for my instrument cluster. Surely someone has a nice NOS one laying around? Best regards,

If you can't turn one up, check Mac's as they sell a virtual copy used in a lot of other antique automobiles. Link below shows one example but they have several available with the main difference being the color of the push button. The engraving on the bezel is the same as found on the T-16 version. Not bad for $9.75.

The original start and siren buttons both had a fibre disc to insulate the contacts and age usually makes them very fragile once people start pushing the buttons. I reinforced the backside with epoxy resin which seemed to hold up pretty well.
Also found my notes on the wiring harness. Need to know if your docs included a sheet detailing a jeep pattern light switch or if they updated the docs to show an actual T-16 pattern now. And need to know which switch you are using. If you plan to use a T-16 pattern switch and got jeep docs with your kit, I can explain the differences. A T-16 switch has contact codes like 1, 2, 3 and a jeep switch has contact codes like BS, TT, SW. |
