Identify this WW1 German Gun
1 Attachment(s)
After WW1 this captured German Krupp (dated 1917) gun was located in Saskatoon's fair grounds, and was reloacted about 20 yrs ago to the local Militia Armouries.
I believe this only is the ordnance of the gun, and the rest of the gun was carried separate. Can anyone identify whay type and calibre it is? Cheers, Wes |

This is a German 15cm K L/40 and is actually a naval gun used by the army.
The carriage above was used to transport the barrel only to keep the weight down to a manageable size in battlefield conditions. The trail, shield and saddle were towed seperately. The seat shown was for the brakeman. |
