WW2 British Army Officers style tent, nice clean condition. One stitched repair to roof one side, comes with original poles and wooden pegs, all hessian bottom lining is intact. End guide ropes are newly replaced but can easy be changed back to old style rope. Can't find a makers mark or date on it but identical to my other 1942 tent.

£450 Ono.

Kev if there is no date provenance you need to be carefull saying it's ww2.... They made these tents well into the 50's and 60's mate.

I thought you were after one of these ?

Officer tent

Officers do ( did ) not need a tent. They never sleep.....

True, but they needed a place to keep all their sheat,,,,golf clubs, dinner jacket, etc. it really was an area for their batman to polish all their crap, ;)

Yes, I know, so was mine, I would love to have it, but since I am selling all my stuff, I don't need one anymore, and I have all of that stuff anyway, so I would definitely need an officers tent, :thup2:

I would suggest that the officer would indeed use this tent. After all, if he is not well rested and comfortable, how will he be able to make sound decisions regarding the welfare of his men?
