Midwest military sells them and has a photo of it which I have stolen and posted below. I am used to one that tapers at the front rather than the fabricated style John sells. Not sure if his is a later pattern.

How do you mean taper matey ? Does anyone have any measurements ?

If you have the holes in the cover, you only need the height of one end. Then it is level with the track guard. If you follow?

Outside dimensions are 22-5/16" long, 7" tall at the back and 4-3/4" at the front. The item is made from 2" by 3/16" stock and the taper Rob is talking about is at the front. The 4-3/4" vertical piece goes from 2" at the top to 3" at the bottom (ie. not a T as shown in the pic). The inward bends at the bottom are (again outside dimensions) 1" at the rear and 1-1/16" at the front. Hole spacing is 1" apart on the rear foot and 2" apart on the front.

The wood (or rubber) bumper is 2" wide by 22" long. Height about 1" for wood. There are 5 holes, 5" apart running down the middle and centred front/rear (such that there is 1" from the ends to the first and last holes).

Rich, I lent one of those brackets to Rick well over a year ago, he should be brining it to war and peace 'fingers crossed', you are quite welcome to borrow it.

Rick, Going Tuesday morning, Why don't you put that fine piece of "British Armour" on the WW2 display field were it belongs. Do an "Operation Goodwood" display, Singe can book it in.

Kev.;-)
