Movie - "D-Day, Normandy, 1944"

G'Day All,
Today I received an invitation (Via the RAHS) to the Australian preview screening of the movie, "D-Day Normandy 1944"
I have got to say I have not heard any whispers, talk or promotion of this production.
Looking at the web site it appears to be a big-budget, 3D, documentary style and family friendly production, available in both English and French
Unfortunately work commitments (and a thousand k's of driving) means I will not be able to attend.
Opens 4th September, IMAX only by the look of it.
Cheers
H

PS I see on the web page map it is already playing at two theaters in Canada

It was playing in Ottawa back in early June, I didn't bother going as looking at the trailers and the website, I figured it was just another 'documentary' on how America won the war.

You mean the 1917-18 war or the 1942-45 war? Better late than never!

WWII Documentary

Yup, better late then never, but the U.S. has the money and resources to recount to the world about their contribution afterwards.

I wish Canada showed the same interest and dedication in spreading the word rather than our lacklustre approach to preserving and recounting history.
