Hans, I have moved this thread from "WW2 Military History & Equipment" to this part of the forum with a better title.
I hope your request stands out better now and it draws the attention its requires.

Whose engine?

Hi Hans

I know that my question may sound silly, Coventry Climax of course. But my reason for asking is that a lot of small generator units like this made in the US during WWII used small tractor engines. So while parts for particular military generator set engine is fruitless looking for the small tractor that used the same engine yields results.

There is an outfit that sells head gasket stock while not the best solution it might be alternative.

By the way thanks for posting the picture of the unit, looks like interesting unit. I've got a M5 generator which was set up to operate at 50 or 60 cycle, it uses a little ZXB Hercules engine.

Cheers Phil

Just did a little searching and came up with a possible source http://www.yesterdaystractors.com/cg...ation&th=14717

They can make any gasket you need.
