The attached photo is of a White M2A1
Mfrs. Serial Number W230501
Ord. Serial Number 1187
Frame number 230501
Hood number unknown

The new owner does not have any history regarding the modifications.
It looks like some one was trying to make it look like a German Half track.
Was it used in a movie or maybe school automotive project?

Goodness! What on earth...?

First thing that comes to mind is israeli halftrack with machine gun removed from pass window area. Also could be a command halftrack from any number of countrys from the war up.

Looks like a bubba track and judging by the lights there should be a snow plow somewhere , the new owner has his work cut out for himself , but as we have seen with Andrew's they can turn out very nice,

Looks like a movie prop to me (check http://www.imcdb.org/), or a reenactor's dream of a German half track.

I think the previous owner was trying to turn it into a limousine. The buckets seats in front are brown valour and the back seat are padded with a similar material. Not much headroom in the rear. The rear ramp is controlled by a small ATV type winch.

It's good that it has a new home. Hopefully it will be turned back to its original configuration.

Those front seats may look horrible but i bet they are more comfortable than the stock ones :D :D

Dear Al,

I recognise that machine from the group of vehicles that were offered up recently.

Did you buy it?

What happened to the other pieces?

Hi Craig,

No, I didn't buy it. It's now owned by a fellow near Eckville, Alberta. He also purchased the DUKW from the same seller in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Al
