Mystery poles, M113? Stretcher mounts?

Am trying to identify these for a friend.
Steel painted silver, no number of marks. Abour 3 ft long or a tad more. Can anyone help? Thanks R |
Don't think they are M113
The M113A1 Ambulance as supplied by FMC used a set of chains, rather than poles, so I suppose that at least eliminates that vehicle as a possible application?

knowing Canada there might have been a kit developed to turn any infantry APC version into an ambulance role, these might have been part of that. bear in mind the Canadian M113s have been around the block a few times. That is my suspicion, but good to know and thanks for adding your comment, I appreciate the input. R |
Agree, but at least you have a starting point.
Same with the M113A1 in Australia: deliveries started in 1965, and a few of those are currently converted to M113(AS)4, and they had a few rebuilds and lots of mods in between. Aust had to dispense with the FMC ambulance set-up early on, as the APCs were almost all equipped with the T50(Aust) turret, and the turret basket got in the way. Mike |

Looking at the photos, those look like they are silver. The fact that the webbing doesn't appear to be painted over suggests that is the way they came. Food for thought. |
