Shortening a F60L

In my travels I have come across plenty of post war bush mods where F15As have had their chassis lengthened to accommodate cranes, trays and what not.
But I have not seen a F60 cut down to a F15. Has anyone seen this?

The reason I ask is I have 2 F60s. But not a F15A. I wouldn't mind one sitting on 20inch rims. What would be required? Anything else apart from taking a section out of the chassis and sourcing a shorter tailshaft?

That must be about it, basically. I have seen an F60L made up from two chassis, one with a good front section and a bad rear section (see pics below) and the other chassis was the other way round. Owner axed both chassis and welded the two good sections together.
I think he was helped by the fact that the F60L chassis has double chassis rails, which the F15A does not have.
When shortening the chassis, you would probably have to fiddle a bit with some of the cross members.
Maybe easier to source a 15-cwt chassis? Blitz' are a dime a dozen in Australia anyway :D
Plus regulatory bodies in your country may frown upon vehicles with cut-n-shut chassis....

Good luck and let us know what you end up doing!
