Latest acquisition

Well, the White Scout Car was finally delivered to the Netherlands this week and on the return I picked up my latest purchase. A very nice project, a 1943 HUP.
If anyone can help, I am looking for the following for it: The interior dome light. Any parts of the sliding roof mechanism. The central bench seat. Left hand fuel tank. The Fuel tank guards I am also looking for any in service photos of HUPs in North West Europe or Italy. James |
Looks good James,
and no issue with the low bridges ;) |
Nice and low !!!!

Lovely purchase James. Is this the one that was for sale in France some time ago?

Or anyone else on the forum post some perhaps? |
Hi Alex,
Yes it is. It was sold to a gentleman in the Netherlands, he stored it for 4 years and has now decided to sell her on. Hi Tony, I will sort through my pictures and post the missing articles. James |
Well done James, another great addition to the "Gosling CMP Stable" :thup2:

Thanks Hanno,
Now that Sally has formally laid claim to the Jeep and the LOHR was hers anyway, I now officially am a CMP only collector! :thup2: |

This is the locking and lifting mechanism I am after and the dome light.

I know where there are these parts are..... in a barn Nr Godstone :nono:
The roof light is a real pain for passengers as one tends to scalp oneself on it  |
new HUP
James,
Congratulations on your fine new HUP and your growing CMP fleet. :thup2: PM sent. Brian |
John
I think he might not be too happy on his next trip to the barn. :fry: |

Thanks James
For posting the pic's. I thought the latch was a far simpler mechanism and Ive never seen one of the lights.
Thought I might be able to help but these bits are out of my league :giveup Glad youve seen the light and sticking to the Blitz :thup2: |

Here are some before and after shots, sent to me by the original French owner who rescued the HUP from the mountains.
