Need info on QUAD Tranny
Can anyone tell me the model of Tranny that was used on the WW2 GM Quad?
Or what numbers it might have on it. Dean |
Assuming you mean CGT.....
Transmission part no for CGT is 1804948 later replaced by 1810610...
Which is the same as a C 15A and C30 and C60S and C60L. Based on GM Major assemblies....Aug 44 Cheers |
Thank you very Much!!! Do you know what markings might be on the transmission itself?
I know someone looking for one of these, and a friend has what might be the correct one, I would like to go look at it this week, and I need to know what to look for. Thank you again Dean |
Easy and difficult.....
According to the quick ID of the M manual it has a Universal Joint Front flange at the rear of the tranny...... which would make it different form other models used in C15A fro example.
The easy part is that 90 % of the trannies out there will fi the GM CMPssss. The difficult part is showing you what might be the different clue except for the rear U joint flange. Some early models have the speedo connection thread machined later models the boss is left untreaded...... Once you have seen one you can probably find one to match on a a full stack in a junk yard. Let me see if I have a clear picture in my file that I can send you. Hang in there. |
Thank you very much Bob!!!
Now all we need is another QUAD and a No 27 Limber. Dean Ajax |
