C60X fuel tanks

I require some assistance out there if anyone can help me. I am looking at bringing my C60X up to more original condition, and one (there are a few more than one) thing is the fuel tanks. I know that they were supposed to be larger than the standard tanks and the tanks I currently have mounted on her are definately not original.

Any info, measurements and/or pictures for C60X tanks would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

fuel tanks

The Big tank is the same as on a Chevrolet 13cab Field artillery Tractor,so this may widen your search .

C60X tanks

They are 24 gallon capacity as opposed to the 12.5 gallon tanks of other CMPs. As Maurice said there the same as the gun tractors and also the F60T.

Thanks Maurice and Keith. I shall continue research.

Ford Cab 13 FGT fuel tanks

I have NOS Ford Gun Tractor fuel tanks (right side). They measure 12" x 40" x 13.5" tall. Maybe they are the same as the big tanks for Cab 13 Chev's. ........... Brian

Furthermore: According to the parts books the C60X and CGT do not share any fuel tank by exact part number but that may just reflect differing spout shapes and locations. My guess is that the "large tanks" are all the same overall dimension for Ford and Chev just as the "small tanks" are generally the same dimension.

just Ford has a different mount /pressing for the sending unit , and the pick up line mount is also different compared to GM versions

Great. Thanks to all for your input. I will continue research and hopefully start looking at a set of custom made tanks as close as possible to the originals. All input definately appreciated.
