Hi Hans,
The workshop seems to be on a US truck. Any idea if this is a Ford ordered for KNIL in the East Indies? The Dodge is goodlooking. Interesting driver too.Can I use this picture for my Staffcar section on Overvalwagens!? Greetings Nuyt Overvalwagens! |
West Indies Truck
The mobileworkshop was listed as Ford, 1 1/2 ton "toolcar", also as "Truck onderhoud - Ford", there were two at the inventorylist of the tank unit of July 7 1943, and only one on july 19, 1943.
Furthermore two were on order. They were ordered by the local military authorities. If they were from the prewar KNIL orders is not known. The driver in the Dodge is "Bizerte" he was born on the day the U.S. Forces took Bizerte in North Africa. Both pictures can be used. greetings Hans H.
