Found another !!!
Bren Carrier BB-17033, Wrench, Rear Axle Bearing Nut. In good condition, some corrosion to the unused end of socket, but perfectly functional for Carriers and Trucks. Rare socket and necessary for rear bearing disassembly. No markings and ready for paint. $50.00 plus shipping to anywhere in the world. First Ill take wins. Thanks, Harris |
Yes please!!
I will sent PM. Cheers, |
I feel that I need to correct this to "A Ford Tool" used also on carriers, but used on a range of ford axles. The "BB" is not carrier specific.
|
I believe the BB refers to 1932 as the year of introduction to that part.
|
Rob,
Interesting on the BB designation as being that year. Any other date codes for Ford tools like that? Good stuff for the book. Bruce |
Thanks for your insight Lynn.

If you do a bit of research on the net, or even on the front section of the parts books, there were a couple of parts numbering systems in the 30s. The first two to 5 digits of a Ford part number (which is then followed by a group number then possibly a revision letter) can tell a lot about when a part was introduced and what it was originally produced for. |
Found another bumped for sale!!

Hi Bruce,
I think Marcel Both would like this one as he was sad he missed out on the first one. Please reserve this one for him as I can't reach him at the moment. Thank you! Regards, |
